Horizontal Content Slider : WPThemeBuilder

A horizontal content slider is a premium wordpress theme’s part you may have seen in many themes. You can add posts or custom content text inside this widget. You can make different sections which will scroll and will be shown one at a time by clicking next/previous buttons.

Adding a Horizontal Content Slider Widget

To add a horizontal content slider widget simply follow these steps.

  1. Enable home page customization if you have not enabled already.
  2. From Home Tab , click on Content Sliders and then Horizontal Content Slider option
  3. A pop-up box will open as shown in following imageHorizontal Content Slider
  4. Enter a Widget name and select a Widget Style from dropdown list(optional).
  5. Click on ADD Widget to place this slider in your theme home page.

Controlling text content of Slider from WP-Admin

Since this widget also comes with an admin control panel hence you can add/remove as many content sections in this widget as you want. You can use custom text or you can also use our provided shortcodes to display post lists in slider content sections.

  1. Once your theme is built and you’ve enabled it. Go to Appearance –> Theme Options
  2. Click on Home Page Widgets navigation button to see all home page editable widgets.
  3. Find the section with the same name you’ve used while creating this slider widget and click on it to expand it.
  4. There you’ll find options to add/remove/edit or re-arrange the contents of this widget.Horizontal Slider Widget Admin
  5. Note: To edit or delete a section you need to first select it from list.
  6. You can also drag and sort the items in list. The top most item will be first in slider and so on…
  7. Always Press this to save Sliders button after making any change to this widget. Otherwise no settings will be saved.
