Simple Tabs Widget for your Home Page : WPThemeBuilder
Along with many other premium wordpress widgets, simple tabs is another content widget for your home page. It can be used from simple blogging theme to business websites. You can place your content, posts, pictures or videos in tabs. The resulting code is very simple and loads faster because of tiny JS tabs code.
Using and inserting Simple Tabs Widget
In order to insert simple tabs widget, you must activate customization of your home page.
- Go to Home Page Tab in WPThemeBuilder
- Click on Use customized home page to activate customization of your theme home page.
- Skip Step 2 if you already activated home page customiation otherwise clicking again will remove all of the widgets added previously.
- Now click on tabbed content
- In the opened pop-window. Enter the name of your widget. You always need a widget name for all home page widgets so you can always control them from WP-Admin area. Just remember, make the name something reasonable so that you can understand by this name that what widget you are editing from WP-admin.
- You can also customize the appearance of this widget by clicking on Customize button and then selecting appropriate colors.

Administrating the Simple Tabs Widget
Once your theme is generated and you’ve activated it in your wordpress theme settings. Here are the instructions to administrate it and add/remove tabbed content in it.
- In WP-Admin , go to Appearance –> Theme Options
- Click on Home Page Widgets in theme options navigation.
- Find the section title named same as you name your simple tabbed widget. Once you find out click on it to expand it.
- You can add more tabs by clicking on ADD TAB button. If you need to edit a tab and its content simply click on the name of tab it will be selected then click Edit Selected button. Similarly you can also delete a tab.
- You can also sort the order of tabs. Top most tab will be the first one. It is sortable you can always drag and sort tab items.
- Don’t forget to click the Update Widget button after you finish up editing, sorting or adding tab items. Nothing will be saved until you click this button.
