PhotoBlogger’s Widget : Sliding Photo Boxes

This widget is powered with jQuery and the idea of this widget is taken fromĀ http://buildinternet.com/2009/03/sliding-boxes-and-captions-with-jquery/

This widget will display a list of posts and get the first image from posts or first attachment or a defined custom thumbnail key value. And then display the image in the box, when you mouse over the box the image is slided down and post description is shown.

Adding the Widget

  1. In WPThemeBuilder, open Home page tab
  2. Enable home page customization if you have not already enabled it.
  3. Click on Photography Widgets and then Sliding Photo Boxes.
  4. In the opened pop-up enter the name of the widget so you can find it in WP-Admin when changing its settings

Configuring the Widget

The Configuration interface of this widget is very easy. All you have to do is to select from where you want to display the posts and desired number of posts. Such as posts from given categories or you can also choose the posts by post ID’s to stick this widget to always show the desired photo posts.
