Header Formatting TAB - WPThemeBuilder

Header is the most important visual part of every template. Because header is the section from where all of your visitors know which site they are browsing and know about your company. Good and stylish headers makes a rough theme more interesting. People don’t pay good attention to headers when building themes. Headers usually contain a logo image or some textual logo that represents everything about your blog or website.

Since, WPThemebuilder can generate themes from simple blogging look to advance and commercial websites. Lets explain a little bit every control in header tab. See the image below

The above image has some common controls which are common in all other tabs. These are called appearance elements.

1. BG Color : Controls the background color of header. You can always specify a background color from our color picker or a pre-defined web 2.0 colors table.
2. BG Image: You can input a URL from an external source or you can also use an image from our media library by click the image gallery button right next to input field. In order to upload your own header graphics you still need to open media library. There you can find upload image options. See media library for more details.
3. Repeat: Use one of three options to repeat your image over header.Repeat Horizontally (repeat-x) , repeat Vertically (repeat-y), or repeat everywhere (repeat). Or if you don’t want to repeat your image, then select No-Repeat.
4. BG Position: If you want to position the used background image in header area, use this field. You can input a position in CSS style. i.e XX YY .. for example 10px 30px or alphabetically (top left) (center right) or in percentage (10% 50%) etc.
5. Header Layout (Will come in next upgrade. You can be able to use a full width header then. Current this option is in development.
6. Font Family: Use one of 12 web safe font group sets to apply a font to the text in header.
7. Font Size: Select blank option to reset or you can also choose a font size. (It will be applied to header only)
8. Text Color : Color of every text element inside header section.
9. Logo Tab (Logo Image): Just like BG Image URL, you can specify a url of your logo, you can upload your logo from our media manager. Don’t worry about urls as all of external images will be copied in your theme and linked locally.
10. Logo Tab(Logo Text): If you don’t want to use a logo image, then simply enter any text and it will be displayed in heading tag as a logo. Leave this blank if you want to display default wordpress blog name.
11. Logo Tab(Logo Description): Use this field to add a few lines or words of description about your site/blog. It can be left blank.
12. Padding Tab: You can specify padding left, right , bottom or left.
    Padding is the spacing of header text from boundaries of your header section.
13. Margins Tab: Similar to paddings but it is the spacing of header section from outer area.

14. Borders Tab: You can choose different border styles as well as colors.
15. Extra CSS: This option is best for web designers who know how to play with css. You can define any custom CSS code in extra css and it will override any other formatting whenever needed.

One Last Note

Like every other tab, you always have to press Save Settings button in order to view any setting you’ve made in header. Your settings won’t be applied untill you press this button.
